PROPOSED PROGRAMS & SERVICES

The Art & Soul Center will be a multipurpose community center that has arts programming, art-based therapeutic services, and community-building programs for children, families and adults.  Art & Soul will seek to create community partnerships in order to bring services to the community of Hollywood.

*Connecting with the Community:
COMMUNITY OUTREACH & DEVELOPMENT
Art & Soul will strengthen the Hollywood community and promote community connectedness by forming community partnerships with local entities, by creating programs that serve the underserved that educate the community, and that bridge the gap in diversity, by offering outreach programs that link artists with their community through volunteerism and community-building projects through their Volunteer Network of Artists. Programs will include: community service projects, special lectures, performances and educational community forums on social topics, hosting special fundraising events for local charities, through special performances and parties at the facility; and offering child care for the community during performances, classes, and when there are special events.

*Healing Through Creativity & Empowerment through Art:
THERAPEUTIC SERVICES & EMPOWERMENT PROGRAMS
Art & Soul will promote the self-development, self-awareness and personal growth needs of youth by offering therapeutic programs that take a creative approach to healing, and that use the arts forempowerment. Programs will include: Art-Based Therapeutic Programs, Empowerment Projects that include a Mentorship Program for Youth, an Internship Program, and a Homeless Youth Art Program; as well as Arts Education Programs that will encourage , and the exploration of the imagination, while striving to expose new audiences to the arts, particularly those populations that are underserved in the community in which programs will include Art Classes, a Youth Theatre Program, and Youth Educational Theatre.

SERVICES for ARTISTS and THE ARTS COMMUNITY
In an effort to improve the quality of life for artists and entertainment professionals in the Hollywood community, Art & Soul will offer programs that will support and nurture artists, and help them create the kind of lives they envision, through programs that focus on empowering the artists, breaking down barriers, and living a balanced life. Programs will include: Health & Wellness Programs, Support Programs such as a Referral & Assistance Program and Employment Services, Creative Healing Workshops, Programs for Women Artists, Arts Advocacy Programs and Live Art Projects.
